Early involvement
The best time to raise a Building Regulations question is while the design is still on paper. We encourage early conversations.

About Concept
A Registered Building Control Approver supporting residential and commercial projects across England.
Who we are
Concept Building Control provides independent building control for residential and commercial projects across England. We are registered with the Building Safety Regulator as a Registered Building Control Approver, so clients can appoint us instead of their local authority to check that building work meets the Building Regulations.
We combine technical understanding with clear, practical communication, so that clients, designers and builders know what is needed at each stage, and why.
Concept Building Control is a trading name of Concept Construction Consultancy Ltd, company number 11700850. Our office is at Wellesley House, 98–102 Cranbrook Road, Ilford, Essex IG1 4NH.

Guidance that reflects the realities of the design, the budget and the programme.
A careful, consistent approach to the Building Regulations, supported by ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management.

Who we work with
Building control runs best when the client, the designer and the builder share the same clear picture of what is needed.
Plain-English guidance on extensions, loft conversions and alterations, so you know what to expect before work starts.
Technical conversations while the design is still taking shape, when changes are easiest to make.
A consistent, practical approach for new homes, conversions and commercial schemes.
Clear inspection arrangements and straightforward answers that help keep work on site moving.
